Randolph C. Kinkade, OD, MPH, FAAO

Dr. Kinkade has been treating low vision patients for over twenty-five years. He travels extensively helping patients with visual impairments and is often lecturing on vision rehabilitation topics. Dr. Kinkade is a 1981 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry and specializes in Low Vision Rehabilitation Optometry. He also has a Masters Degree of Public Health from the Department of Community Medicine at the University of Connecticut. He has adapted his studies to concentrate on prevention of disabilities related to visual impairments. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry Low Vision Section and also a member of the Low Vision Rehabilitation section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Kinkade is a low vision consultant for the Connecticut Board of Education and Services for the Blind. As a founding member of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists he meets annually to advance the field of low vision with top optical designers and manufacturers. Dr. Kinkade treats patients from all over New England. He will be establishing an office in Rhode Island in the near future. Currenly he sees patients in the Greater Boston area (Newton) as well as in Connecticut and New York. He enjoys walking the beach with his wife and stays busy keeping tract of his three sons.
