Dr. Chism has been providing low vision care for 20 years and therefore has extensive experience working with people who have decreased vision, but who desire to see better. He is known by his patients as "the see better doctor", as he is committed to finding a way to improve his patient's vision.

He is a member of the Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and is a lifetime member of the Lions Club.
